Tamara is a Bangladeshi-Australian who spent her childhood in Saudi Arabia. Her favourite authors as a child were Roald Dahl, Enid Blyton and Charles Dickens. These authors gave her many heroes to look up to, Matilda being her favourite. Tamara loved her multicultural upbringing but didn’t always find it easy to embrace her Muslim identity. Reading about Islam’s rich history and its great heroes surely helped. She wanted to write this book because she wants to inspire children and adults alike to be proud of their Muslim identity. Trisha Bose is an artist, who lives in New Delhi, India. She paints to feed herself and her family of dogs. She likes said dogs, history, fantastical adventures, and very spicy food.
